April 11th 1871 and May 2nd 1871  patents.
When hanging the bell acts as a light reflector , making them popular among farmers .

Globes are specific to these Peerless models , they take a smaller lower diameter than standard no.39s and 6in RR globes.

No.1 whale oil burner.
New wick 
Globe is clean and in flawless condition. 

Condition -  excellent,  polished brass top and fount top.
Tin portions are clean smooth tin,  no heavy rust or pitting, and has a gorgeous oiled patina .

One dent in the fount brass cap as pictured.
Two small dimple dents in the brass top.
