S.S. Clark mfg. Uses the G.W. Woodward threaded globe patent of April 5th 1864 ( this is lightly hallmarked at the top of globe ) P.J. Clark patented sliding burner access door. Stamped on the lowe body is Clark's Patent April 14th 1863 . ( pointed out with arrow) Hard to find model that uses a threaded removable globe guard as well. This is a fairly tall dead flame at nearly 12 inches. Tin construction , brass top, sangster fount with a brass No.1 burner . Condition - good , recently restored with a dark oil finish over clean rust free tin. Light pitting on the underside of skirt, and pointed out with an arrow, some minor edge loss ( does not show from the topside) The globe unthreads smoothly with no cracks . Brass top in excellent condition, no cracks. ** has not been oil tested **
