Turn Your Railroad, Gas, Auto & Lantern Collectibles Into Cash

Have something you'd like to sell? Lantern Joe Auctions offers a simple way to consign your collectibles through our Facebook-based auctions.

We specialize in railroad, gas, auto, fire, lantern, and related collectibles, and we handle the auction process from listing to buyer communication.

ONLY 10% COMMISSION

Our commission is 10% of the final selling price.

We cover the advertising and applicable transaction fees associated with the auction.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ITEMS

To have an item considered for auction, send us:

  • 6–8 clear, high-quality photographs minimum

  • A description of the item

  • Any known maker, model, markings, or history

  • Condition information, including damage, repairs, or missing parts

  • Your desired starting price

  • Whether you want no reserve or a reserve price

  • An estimated shipping cost

  • Item size and weight information, when available

ITEM REVIEW & APPROVAL

All items are reviewed and approved before being listed for auction.

Not every item submitted is necessarily accepted. This allows us to maintain the quality and focus of our auctions.

YOU CHOOSE HOW YOU'RE IDENTIFIED

Consignors have the option to:

Remain anonymous

or

Be identified by name as the seller

We'll follow your preference when creating the auction listing.

HOW THE AUCTION WORKS

Once your item has been approved and listed, the auction takes place through Lantern Joe Auctions on Facebook.

Once the reserve has been met, the 24-hour bid rules begin.

We handle the messaging between buyers and sellers throughout the transaction process.

LISTING CHARGE POLICY

A $5 listing charge will apply to items that do not sell or meet their reserve after one week of being listed.

$100 Advertisement Fee
A flat fee dedicated to promoting your collection across multiple platforms.
