1878 patent made by Plume and Atwood of CT " Gipsy" model
Frame and globe  is unmarked , some of these had marked Gipsy globes.

Condition  - is new old stock , as good as it gets, near flawless Condition. 
Brass construction with a nickel over brass top , bright tin finished bottom.

Lantern is small enough to be considered a skater , or hand lamp.
Features Atwoods patented flame deflector burner design.
Push in tab for locking the top cap.
