Cast iron base reads G.F.J. Colburns patent 1864 
These lanterns are most commonly found in two sizes , this is the larger one at almost 12in.
Condition is very good with the only issue being part of the vent holes near bail rivet are missing. Rest of the lantern is nice , rust free .
Original black painted base , very clean fount , correct long stem H.B.H. callander burner .
