Defiance Lantern & Stamping 
Canadian made model before Defiance was setup in Rochester , N.Y. 

Features a brass tag reading DEFIANCE  with a 64 in a diamond. 
W.J. Reid & Co. London, Ontario 
On the reverse reads 
PAT'D
1898 - 1900

W.J. Reid was big supplier of goods at that time and must of made a large order of lanterns to have their name embossed on the brass tag as well.

Original Made in Canada globe with a D within a Diamond 

Large No.2 sized brass burner, Defiance's patented tilt back design uses tubes and pins that attach to the globe plate thru the fount and soldered on bottom.

Condition  - excellent,  with clean smooth tin and remnants of its original blue jappanning. 
No visible rust or condition issues present. 
Excellent example of a hard to find model.
