Made by Buffalo Steam Gauge  and  Lantern Company 
Utilizing the consumed company of Parmalee and Bonnell's 1871 patents 
Patents April 11th 1871, May 2nd 1871 on the lid.
This commercial style Railroad frame has a brass top , wire tied globe guards, sangster  fount with a No.1 whale oil burner.

Globe is  shorter than a standard No.39 globe.
Measuring at 5 1/4 , and fatter in shape.
Macbeth Co. marked at the top 
And strongly embossed B&O R.R. 
For the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad

Unknown if this fame was ordered and used by the Railroad, being that the globe is a unique size, it will not have many frame options.

Condition  - excellent, next to perfect condition you want to find for almost a 150yrs old.
No rusting or pitting, no visible condition issues present.
Lantern has been lightly cleaned and oiled for a finish.
Shelf display ready.
